Northern Athletics 12 & 6 Stage Road Relays Champs

After an early morning inspection the Northern Athletics 12 & 6 stage Road Relays Championships have been cancelled. The worsening conditions overnight resulted in parts of the course becoming hazardous.

Start Time
Mens 12 Stage event will commence at 11.30
Womens 6 Stage at 11.35 am.

Directions to Stanley Park Arena
Follow the M55 motorway to Blackpool and exit at Junction 4 signposted BlackpoolA583.
Take 3rd Exit towards Blackpool  A583 for 2 miles
Go through three sets of traffic lights, the third with McDonalds on the left-hand junction corner.
At the next set of lights turn right on to South Park Drive signposted Fleetwood A587.
Go through the first set of lights and bear left at the mini-roundabout.
You are now on West Park Drive with the park on your right. At the second mini-roundabout turn right into Blackpool Sports Centre.
The Athletic Arena is situated immediately behind the main Sports Centre building.

Parking
Marshals will be on duty and parking will also be signposted. Parking will also be available around most of the park.

Registration
Registration is at the Blackpool & Fylde AC clubhouse.  Your race numbers must be collected by the Team Manager who should then distribute the numbers amongst the club athletes. Please ensure that the correct stage numbers are distributed to each of your athletes.

Please ensure that your team manager has given their name and an email contact address for your club to registration officials.

Tented Area
This is situated to the left of the main stand on the outside of the track.

National Relay Entries - Saturday  - Sutton Park, Birmingham
Only clubs completing the Mens Northern 12 Stage Road Relay Championship will be invited to enter the ERRA 12 Stage event. The first 25 teams (including ‘B’ but not ‘C’ teams) to finish in the Northern event will be guaranteed places.  Entry information will be supplied by email on Monday afternoon –

Team Managers from qualifying clubs must ensure that the Northern athletics office or Ken Smith has their valid email address.
